Restore Physical Well-Being

As you well know, going through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatment can take a huge toll on your body. Treatment zaps your energy; it makes your muscles weaker, it makes it difficult for you to be flexible and agile; and it can even change your libido.
Overcoming some of the physical challenges you experience as a result of treatment might not seem so easy at first. But over time you will find yourself being able to regain the strength and stamina you need to restore yourself to normal.
Keep in mind, however, that your physical well-being plays a major role in how you fare after treatment. If you were in good physical condition before your diagnosis, then your recovery may be a bit easier than for some other survivors. If you were not in good condition, then your recovery may be more arduous.
Your physical well-being is a measure of your overall health, and it involves eating well, exercising and making healthy lifestyle choices. The combination of these factors, along with your medical care after treatment, will influence your time frame for recovery, survivorship and quality of life.
Proper nutrition and adequate exercise will help you restore and reenergize yourself after breast cancer treatment, and they will enhance your physical well-being. They might even help you overcome intimacy issues you may be facing so that you can enhance your sexual health as well.
