Rhonda M. Smith
Rhonda Smith is a beast cancer survivor and Founder of Breast Cancer Partner. Rhonda has extensive experience and a highly successful track record working with private corporations and non-profit organizations. With over 20 years of experience that includes sales and marketing management and learning and development consulting, Rhonda has parlayed her professional and personal experience into a unique skill set that includes marketing/PR, community outreach, networking and building partnerships across a diverse population of breast cancer survivors. Rhonda speaks on the topic of, and helps other survivors understand, how Recover, Restore and Reenergize after breast cancer treatment.
Rhonda also serves as President of Rhegal Consulting where she is responsible for overseeing client projects, marketing, client relationship management, and the business development activities. She has broad international consulting experience and has managed client engagements in 5 continents and more than 20 countries. Rhonda’s experience as a senior consultant for StratX International, a Paris, France-based company, included managing training and development programs for companies such as GE, Dow Chemicals, Pharmacia, Glaxo SmithKline, Abbott Laboratories, Kodak, DuPont, Xerox Corporation, and many others. Prior to Strat*X, Rhonda held various positions in sales, marketing and market development at E. I. Dupont DeNemours & Company, and sales and marketing at Eli Lilly.
Rhonda earned her M.B.A. in Marketing and Operations Management from the Colgate Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and her B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. She is a Leadership Charlotte Alumnus, Chair of the Board Member of The Women’s Fund of Miami, a member of the Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce and past Chair of its Women’s Business Council. Rhonda is also a member of the American Marketing Association, the ASTD, and is a CEO Forum member of The Commonwealth Institute of South Florida. Rhonda served on the 2007 NFL Super Bowl Special Events Committee, and in 2006 one of South Florida’s “25 Most Prominent and Influential African American Women. Her most recent accomplishment is receiving the honor as a first runner up in the More Magazine ”Most Fabulous Women Over 40” contest.
